what is coinstar?
we have been avidly seeking a way to give back to our supportive members while also providing them with an environment to come together as a community. with a little revision, we've taken our old rewards system and made it even better and exciting. multiple posts will be put up each week for member participation. these entries will include group activities like games and chats, surveys, writing challenges and the like, and contributing will give you points that you can later exchange for prizes.
how do i get points?
participation! being a part of the activities we provide is the way to rack up points. a list of how many points you will get for everything is located through out the activity posts and in these guidelines.
how will you add all these points up?
points from the coinstar posts will be tallied up at the end of the week at a specific time. this will include everything from activies we have posted to checking links where you advertised the community, at this time as well. you can view the points here!
what are these so-called points good for?
at the moment, we are starting small with what members can exchange their points for. for every 100 points that a member obtains, they will be able to receive an update pass. these passes will be good to use whenever you'd like and will be given as graphics. currently, we are in the process of adding more options to chose from when redeeming your earned points.

the values from earning points and the guidelines are listed here.
• points from the coinstar posts will be tallied up at the end of the week at a specific time. we will also tally up points for things that need a link provided, like an entry where you advertised the community, at this time as well.
• from monday until the end of the week on sunday, points will be arranged by the date of the activity participated in. the amount of points following the username is the total from that session. sunday night the alphabetized list will be updated with the total amount of points acquired from participating altogether.

this game is all about asking "what" questions, if you can't squeeze that term in before the question, then no worries at all! if you are able to then you will get bonus points. to help start this off, we have asked our very own what questions that you can answer and even get to know others through. we encourage you to comment as many people as possible.

in order to successfully participate in the hunt, you will be required to find an appropriate graphic, article or link correlating to the topic. the best idea is to find all pictures and use them in one comment, if you cannot simply just put the number it corresponds to and the topic in the subject line so we can easily make sure you don't get bypassed. each response is worth 2 points.
